TRE 4×4 Air Lockers are a forged 2-piece design, this two-piece design has given the locker an added strength of 40% on top of what was already a strong locker. The case of the locker is made from forged 8260 steel, and the gears are made from 4320 chromoly alloy steel. Our seals have a new design, reducing the air leak issues that air lockers are so prone to. We have kept the 3-pin style, a design that has been proven.
TRE have tested the lockers to 17,000nm of torque (which was the maximum of the testing machine) and they did not fracture and were installed into a vehicle which is now a comp truck, with no signs of destruction yet.
The Air Lockers come with everything to run them if you have your own air compressor, including switches, solenoids & airlines. The TRE 4×4 Air Compressor comes with its own wiring loom incorporating the Air Locker’s loom.

Usually you will find that there is always a differing of opinion on this topic, some will say Rear others will say Front. It can be vehicle specific and different driving conditions can dictate whether a Front or a Rear Air Locker will be better suited. It can be a personal decision as to which one you fit first but an Air Locker fitted to both axles will provide you with the best output for most situations and give you the greatest amount of off road traction that you can derive from your vehicle.

We are currently putting together a suitable kit however we do know that the ARB Pump Up Kit will fit the TRE 4×4 Air Compressor.
It is a standalone unit, and while the battery remains charged it will work. The magnetic base will allow it be fixed to a steel metal surface or you can use the plate with double sided tape to fit it onto a non-metallic surface. The unit will only require removing to be recharged as required.
Once you have made the initial purchase there aren’t any additional ongoing costs as the subscription to the Track Solid app is included (Downloadable from App store or Google Play). You will need to maintain your sim card and top it up when required. If you set up an alert it will keep you informed and generally the minimum top up value for a 12-month expiry on data usage for a years access is all that is required.
It is equipped with high powered lithium-ion battery (10,000mAh) which can last 7 weeks to 2 years depending on the location reporting interval.
Yes, it has been developed for use in conjunction with 3G mobile coverage.
Unfortunately, if the tracker is in an area with no mobile phone coverage then it will be unable to data to you and will not update the app until it moves back into mobile phone coverage.
